• Wouldn't it be nice if our local organic farm could sustain itself with soil amendments?
  
  
• Wouldn't it be nice if local vegetable food waste had a place for recycling?

Well soon it will be!  With the help of Natural Resource Council of Maine, we will be building a compost facility at the farm later 2008 summer.  Local community members will be able to drop off their leaves and St. Joseph's College of Standish will be bringing over their vegetable food waste.

We will be starting a Composting Corps to help us, with the bulk of their work being to collect leaves.

Creating compost will provide us with needed inputs for our community garden sites as well as enriching the soil at the farm.
